Moringa is a incredibly useful tree from the leaves, roots and seed pods all being edible and having varying uses. The tree grows 5-10m in size when in good condition, preferring sandy well drained soils in a subtropical or tropical climate. When young Moringa can be delicate to get established but once established it is drought hardy. It is sem-deciduous during winter and typically won't handle frosts
The leaves can be used as a vegetable in soups & stews, seed pods eaten similar to asparagus and the roots peeled for use as a horseradish substitute. It also has claims of high quantities of vitamin C, B and A.
