Raphanus sativus -- Untreated Seed
Tillage Radish is a very fast forage bred to produce a large taproot ideal for breaking up ground. It is also ideal as a winter forage with first grazing 4-6 weeks after sowing. Best grown during cooler weather of Autumn/Winter but it will grow all year in cooler climates.
Suitable in pasture for better diversity and breaking up the soil for better water infiltration. In pastures sowing rates are 2-4kg per acre as stand alone crop or as a pasture mix 1.5-2kg. Ideal in pasture mixes with Oats, Rye, Vetch, Lupin & Clover.
Sow all year except hot weather.
