Horseradish is a perennial to 60cm, likes deep friable soil. Forms roots below ground that are harvested in winter for eating fresh, presserved or dried. During summer green foliage can be harvested and used in salads to add some bite.
Hardy, easily grown at home taking up very little space, dies back in Winter. Adds flavour to meat, potatoes, spreads and dips. High in vitamin C. Many medicinal uses.
Available all year. Sold in 75mm tube pot.
