Stinging Nettle is a well know upright grower to 90cm high. Perennial that is easily grown, young shoots cooked like spinach. Used dried or cooked, high in iron. Stinging Nettle leaves make an excellent pesto if basil is unavailable. Stinging nettle is a vigerous grower and is best planted in its own garden or container as it can overtake gardens if left unchecked.
