Betel Leaf is a popular plant used in cooking typically from Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. It is generally used to wrap foods or used fresh in salads and as a garnish. Fresh it has a sweet mildly peppery taste and cooked it becomes more complex.
Easy to grow - Prefers a part shade position with well drained moist soil but will not tolerate water logging. Frost tender. Prefers warmer humid conditions.
