Aloe barbadensis - Certified Organic Plants - Grown at Greenpatch Organic Seeds
Known for its large and thick smooth mid green leaves and yellow flower spikes which form in summer, a clump forming variety. Excellent medicinal variety with a wide range of uses internally and externally.
Uses:
Use leaves fresh, cut as needed. Apply jelly-like substance direct to burns, insect bites, rashes and other skin conditions. Internal uses a numerous and will require your own research.
Growing conditions:
Hardy grower tolerating long dry periods and poor soil, however it will respond well to rich soil and regular watering. Ensure pot or planting site is very well drained as water logging will inhibit growth. Aloe barbadensis can reach up to 100cm tall and grow to 1m wide, allow space when choosing a garden position.
