Perennial herb to 50cm, enjoying morning sun and shade from warm afternoons, in very well draining soil. Aromatic small leaves with a mint anise flavour. To maintain a bushing compact habit, regular pruning is advised, as well as marking its location during winter - for if it's too cold they turn deciduous. Highly sought after by the culinary community, it's used in cooking, salad dressings, flavouring chicken or fish and even in bottled vinegars.
