Bay leaf is a hardy perennial erect shrub growing to 10m tall. Can easily be grown as a low growing shrub with correct prunning and full height in unlikely in a home garden. Use leaves fresh or dried. Strongest flavour in leaves is just before flowering.
Handles full sun/part shade. Tolerates light frosts. Prefers warmer humid conditions with well drained soil.
Sold in 100mm tube pot. Grown from cuttings.
