Highly regarded round red beetroot with the beetroot having a squat shape. More of the beetroot forms above the ground making it slightly easier during harvest. Used in salads, cooked & steamed. Popular root vegetable. Fast growing, bi-annual, easy to grow. Sow direct in garden. 55 days to harvest. Keep moist in fertile well drained, sunny position. Use in salads, soups, cooked or preserved. Doesn't enjoy hard frosts - more of root above the ground to be affected - potentially mulch over to protect if hard frost is an issue in your area.
Sow all year - Except in very hot weather.
Sow direct in prepared garden bed. Cover seed in 1cm of soil, space 10cm apart, keep moist.
